Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic music composer, performer and singer. Avery Sunshine combines soul gospel with R&B to make a distinctive combination. She's performed on Broadway in the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta but she is from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her music career by singing and playing the piano in the church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she began her music career on Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The first track to include her voice was called Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan The song has been remixed numerous times by artists and is an integral part of her live set. She also has contributed her voice on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was named the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007 was approached to become the leader of the choral group for the production. Sunshine came to national attention through four performances a day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
