Reese Witherspoon began seriously pursuing her acting career following attending Stanford University. Early successes in her acting career were in films such as Pleasantville and Election, but her role in Elle Woods was the turning point for her. Witherspoon was awarded the Academy Award, in 2005, for her role as Walk the Line. Water for Elephants this means war and Wild were among her most recent films and she was also recognized as a nominee for the Oscar. Her career began in the early 2000s performing in various small television roles. The comedy The Invisible Man, 2003 she was the first actress to appear in a major feature film. After that, she went on to appear in a number of TV shows, like House of Lies Whitney and Better Call Saul. In addition to her acting career, she has appeared in movies such as The Dictator or The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. She is an accomplished artist and painter, in as well as a renowned actress.
